Hall-OU-ween 2014

We had a great time turning the Barley House into Court Street the last two years — Click here and here to check out some photos — and we did it again on Saturday, October 25, 2014!

More than 140 OU alumni and friends packed the Barley House for an OU-style Halloween party. For a $5 donation to the chapter, guests received souvenir OU, Oh Yeah! koozies and their choice of OU swag.

Bobcats and friends enjoyed some Athens-style beverages while judges circulated through the crowd to select the finalists for the costume contests: Best OU Outfit, Best Couple/Group, Best Overall.

Prizes included a pair of tickets to the 2015 MAC men's basketball tournament, a pair of tickets to the 2015 OU Alumni Beer School at Great Lakes Brewing Company, OU t-shirts, the Completely Unauthorized OU Coloring Book, and other OU swag.

Congrats to the winners:

Best Couple/Group: Florida/Georgia Line

Best OU Costume: Homecoming King & Queen

Best Overall: Mr. T (w/ runner-up, Randy "Macho Man" Savage)

Check out more photos from the event on the Barley House's Facebook page, and start working on your costumes for next year!

On the Green Weekend 2014

Pack your bags!

What’s better than Athens in the spring?

Your Ohio University Alumni Association has a great weekend planned with activities for the entire OHIO community, alumni and their families, and those celebrating special class milestone or affinity reunions.

  • Thursday (May 29), early birds kick off the weekend with leadership meetings and programming.

  • Friday (May 30), the weekend shifts into high gear. Go back to the classroom for Alumni College courses like Hamlet on Film, Senior Entrepreneurship, and 70th Anniversary of D-Day/Cornelius Ryan Symposium. Stroll the bricks or the bike path. Enjoy food, fun and friends during Friday evening’s kickoff Alumni Reception.

  • Saturday (May 31), start the day with the Fitness Run/Walk, an Alumni College course or a film at the Festival. Don’t miss the OHIO Student Experience Symposium. Take to College Green for the singular On the Green Barbeque! In the evening, all alumni are invited to dinner – storytelling encouraged – with special “to dos” for class milestone and other affinity reunion groups.

  • Sunday (June 1), grab your sweetie for the “OH, I dO" ceremony. Before you leave, stop by the Farewell Brunch. Still don’t want to leave? We understand…take a Winery or Hocking Hills Tour!

Don’t forget to pack your camera, comfy shoes and OHIO gear. And, don’t miss On the Green Weekend!
