Mentor an OU-Bound Freshman

You can help a college student reach his or her full potential and graduate from college by sharing your experience and expertise.

As a mentor, you send your mentee two to three emails per month on an interesting topic that College Now provides, and see your mentee three times per year at a group event that College Now organizes and hosts. It’s the perfect option for busy professionals who want to give back and have a rewarding volunteer experience.

The first step is to complete an online application by clicking here. (Click on “Mentor” to get started.)

Once you have completed your application, College Now will follow up with you for next steps. Then you’ll be on track to be matched and meet your mentee for the first time this summer. (Note: in order to be matched with a mentee this summer, you must complete the application by April 1, 2013. After that date, you may have to wait until the following school year.)

By signing up today, you can help ensure that these ambitious students have the support they need to succeed!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lauren Marchaza, an OU alumna and the Mentoring Program Coordinator at College Now Greater Cleveland,  for more information: lmarchaza@collegenowgc.org or 216-241-5587.
