Trailerpark, the feature-length film based on a Russell Banks short story collection, was entirely produced by students in the School of Media Arts and Studies (formerly Telecommunications) at Ohio University.
More than 70 students from different schools within the university collaborated on this project. The students showed their commitment and dedication to making this dream a reality, spending countless hours each week not just on the film, but also maintaining full academic course schedules.
Trailerpark may be the only feature-length film to be produced completely by undergraduate students as part of a course in a college curriculum. Extensive research has found no similarly structured project.
Heather Holden, a 2003 graduate of Ohio University, is casting for NBC's The Apprentice. If you have been affected by the current job market and are interested in being on the show, she'd love to hear from you!
